Introduction

The Singapore Corporate Awards consolidate five of Singapore's key awards – Best Annual Report Award, Best Investor Relations Award, Best Chief Financial Officer Award, Best Chief Executive Officer Award and Best Managed Board Award (BMBA) - to recognise excellence in corporate governance and shareholder communication.

The Best Annual Report Award was introduced in 1974 to encourage listed companies to increase the level and quality of voluntary disclosures in their annual reports.

The Best Managed Board Award, the first of its kind in the Asia Pacific, was launched in 2003 to recognise and encourage enhanced corporate governance within companies by focusing on people management issues at the Board level.

The Best Investor Relations Award, Best Chief Financial Officer Award and Best Chief Executive Officer Award were added to form the Singapore Corporate Awards. The Awards are organised by The Business Times, supported by Singapore Exchange with the following partners: Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS), Singapore Institute of Directors (SID), Citigate Dewe Rogerson, i.MAGE, The Corporate Governance & Financial Reporting Centre (CGFRC) of the NUS Business School, National University of Singapore, Aon Consulting and Egon Zehnder International.
